Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist healthcare professionals in providing quality patient care and ensuring smooth operations within the medical office.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with minor surgeries.
2. Record patient information accurately in electronic health records.
3. Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
4. Assist physicians and nurses during examinations and procedures.
5. Educate patients on medication instructions and self-care procedures.
6. Schedule appointments, handle phone calls, and communicate with patients regarding test results.
7. Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
8. Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide quality patient care and support.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
3. Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) required.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
6. Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.
7. Knowledge of medical terminology and basic medical procedures.
8. Familiarity with electronic health records systems.
