Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical-Surgical/Telemetry

Location - Beverly, Massachusetts

Shift -Day(12) - 7:00 start

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit provides direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles. The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the nursing care of assigned patients within the Med Surg and Telemetry units. This role involves working collaboratively with physicians, other healthcare professionals, and support staff to provide comprehensive care to patients.

Responsibilities:

Assess patients’ health status and develop nursing care plans based on individual needs.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.

Monitor patients’ vital signs, telemetry readings, and other indicators of health status.

Perform routine and specialized nursing procedures such as wound care, IV therapy, and catheterization.

Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.

Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.

Respond effectively to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.

Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adherence to regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Previous experience in Medical-Surgical and/or Telemetry nursing preferred.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
