Job Title: Registered Nurse (ICU)
Location - Utica ,NY
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (ICU) is responsible for providing direct patient care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting. This includes assessing patients, developing and implementing care plans, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, collaborating with healthcare team members, and providing emotional support to patients and their families.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assess and evaluate patient conditions in the ICU
2. Develop and implement individualized care plans
3. Monitor and record vital signs and patient progress
4. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
5. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members
6. Provide emotional support to patients and their families
7. Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
9. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures
10. Maintain a clean and organized work environment
11. Participate in continuing education and training opportunities
12. Ensure patient safety and confidentiality at all times
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license
2. BLS and ACLS certification
3. Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience
4. Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
7. Ability to remain calm and focused in high-stress situations
8. Proficient in electronic medical records systems
9. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
10. Professionalism and compassion towards patients and their families
