Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Duration: 13 weeks
Location: Grand Marais, MN 55604
Shift: Mix shift

 Pay package for 40 hours
Gross Pay: $1090 (per week)

Breakdown:
W2 (Taxable): $11.5/hr ($460/week)
Stipends (Non- Taxable): $630/week (for meals and lodgings)

POSITION SUMMARY:

After completing training from an approved program and being listed on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry, the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) works under the supervision of the Charge Nurse. They perform various tasks related to resident care, ensuring residents maintain their dignity and receive the highest quality of life possible.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide bathing, grooming, dressing, and oral care for each resident according to the care plan.
• Monitor residents' skin condition and report any unusual findings to the Charge Nurse.
• Assist residents with eating, including tray set up, feeding, and encouragement, as needed.
• Assist residents with toileting needs and monitor intake and output as ordered.
• Assist residents with mobility, such as walking, range of motion exercises, and transferring, according to the nursing rehab plan.
• Function as part of the care team to provide various other cares, including monitoring residents for safety, serving snacks, and accompanying residents on outings.
• Obtain resident vital signs, heights, and weights as directed, reporting any unusual findings to the Charge Nurse.
• Maintain room order during each shift by making beds, keeping rooms organized, and removing trash and soiled linens.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment throughout the facility by following current Infection Control protocols.
• Maintain current knowledge of residents' Summary Plan of Care/Care Card and promptly notify the Charge Nurse or IDT of any necessary changes
• Complete all required documentation in Meditech during each shift.
