On W2 (Taxable):
$14 per Hour ($504 per Week)
Stipends
(Non-Taxable): $1120 per Week (meals and lodgings)
Job Summary:
As a Temporary LVN/LPN at the
North Country Renal Dialysis Unit, you will play a crucial role in providing
quality care to patients undergoing renal dialysis treatment. Working within a
dynamic healthcare team, you will be responsible for assisting in the delivery
of comprehensive nursing care, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and well-being
throughout their dialysis sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care
during dialysis treatments, including monitoring vital signs, assessing patient
status, and addressing any emergent needs or concerns.
Assist in the setup and
monitoring of dialysis equipment, including hemodialysis machines, ensuring
proper functioning and adherence to established protocols.
Administer medications and
intravenous solutions as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate dosage and
patient response.
Educate patients and their
families about renal disease management, treatment procedures, dietary
restrictions, and medication regimens to promote self-care and optimize health
outcomes.
Maintain accurate and detailed
medical records, including patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress
notes, in compliance with regulatory standards and facility policies.
Collaborate with
interdisciplinary healthcare team members, including physicians, registered
nurses, and technicians, to coordinate patient care, address clinical concerns,
and facilitate smooth treatment transitions.
Respond promptly to medical
emergencies or complications during dialysis sessions, implementing appropriate
interventions and notifying supervisory personnel as needed.
Adhere to infection control
protocols and maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within the
dialysis unit to minimize the risk of cross-contamination and infection
transmission.
