Job Title: Medical Lab Scientist/ Medical Lab Tech
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Medical Lab Scientist/ Medical Lab Tech to perform various laboratory tests on patient samples to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical laboratory science and be able to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct routine and complex laboratory tests on blood, tissue, and other bodily fluids
- Analyze test results and report findings to healthcare providers
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper functioning
- Follow strict protocols and procedures to ensure accuracy and precision in test results
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines in the laboratory
- Assist with quality control and quality assurance measures
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure proper patient care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field
- Certification as a Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) or Medical Lab Tech (MLT)
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of laboratory equipment and procedures
- Familiarity with laboratory information systems and electronic medical records
