Job Title: AB/OB Ultrasound Technician
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled AB/OB Ultrasound Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing ultrasound examinations on pregnant women to monitor fetal development and ensure the health and well-being of both mother and baby. The AB/OB Ultrasound Technician will also be responsible for accurately interpreting images and providing detailed reports to the healthcare team.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform ultrasound examinations on pregnant women to assess fetal growth, anatomy, and development
- Obtain and record patient history
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures
- Operate ultrasound equipment and maintain proper image quality
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely results
- Document findings and produce detailed reports for healthcare providers
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in AB/OB ultrasound
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of fetal anatomy and development
- Familiarity with OB/GYN procedures and protocols
