Job Title: RN NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit)
Location: Robbinsdale, MN
Shift: Days 12 hours
Duration: 16 Weeks
Job Summary:
The RN NICU is responsible for providing specialized care to newborn infants who are premature or have serious medical conditions requiring intensive care. They work closely with doctors, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for their patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Monitor and assess the condition of newborn infants in the NICU
2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by doctors
3. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
4. Educate parents on caring for their newborns and provide emotional support
5. Ensure a safe and sterile environment for patients
6. Document patient care accurately and maintain medical records
7. Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies in the NICU
Qualifications and Skills:
2+ Years of Experience - Required
Newborn stabilization and resuscitation experience - Required
BLS (AHA or ARC) - Required
NRP - Required
Newborn Population Experience - Required
STABLE - Highly Preferred
Level 2/3 NICU Experience - Highly Preferred
Epic Experience - Preferred
