Job Title: RN Progressive Care/Stepdown Nurse
Location: Pittsfield, MA
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM 12hr Night 36hr guarantee
Duration: 13 Weeks
Job Summary:
As a RN Progressive Care/Stepdown Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients who are transitioning from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to a general medical-surgical unit. You will monitor and assess patients' conditions, administer medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct regular assessments of patients' conditions and update medical records accordingly
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and their families on their conditions, treatments, and recovery process
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and adhere to infection control protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to stay current on best practices in progressive care/stepdown nursing
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in progressive care/stepdown nursing
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- 2 years current PCU/Stepdown experience
- Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred
- ACLS MUST BE IN HAND AT PROFILE UPLOAD.
- TNCC Preferred
