Job Title: Sterile Processing Supervisor
Location: Burlington, MA
Shift: Night (8) 11p start
Duration: 13 Weeks (40 guaranteed)
Job Summary:
As a Sterile Processing Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Sterile Processing department, including managing staff, ensuring compliance with infection control standards, and maintaining equipment and supplies. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient processing of surgical instruments and equipment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Supervise and coordinate the activities of Sterile Processing staff.
2. Ensure that all instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and assembled for surgical procedures.
3. Maintain accurate records of instrument processing and sterilization activities.
4. Train new staff on proper sterilization techniques and infection control protocols.
5. Monitor departmental inventory and order supplies as needed.
6. Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient flow of instruments and equipment.
7. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
8. Investigate and resolve any issues related to instrument processing or sterilization.
Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum 2 years of experience
Knowledge of central processing CPD experience. Previous travel experience preferred sterilization & SPD knowledge.
Certification required.
COVID vaccination including booster required.
