Job Title: Registered Nurse - Med Surg/Telemetry
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse with experience in Med Surg/Telemetry to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct patient care, conducting assessments, implementing nursing interventions, and collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments of patients in the Med Surg/Telemetry unit
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders
- Monitor patient vital signs and telemetry readings
- Document patient care activities and outcomes accurately and timely
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and families on disease management, treatment plans, and self-care techniques
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice projects
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current RN license in the state of employment
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Med Surg/Telemetry
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in electronic medical records systems
