Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technician to join our healthcare team. The Ultrasound Technician will perform ultrasound procedures to assist healthcare providers in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions. This position requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform ultrasound procedures on patients according to physician orders
- Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety
- Operate ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality images for interpretation by healthcare providers
- Evaluate images to ensure diagnostic quality and communicate any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care
- Participate in continuing education and training to stay current on best practices in ultrasound technology
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
- Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of ultrasound technology and anatomy
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
