Job Title: Surgical Technologist - Cardiac
Location : Janesville, WI
Shift Information: 5x8 hour shifts between the hours of 645-715p.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist specializing in cardiac procedures to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist surgeons and other medical professionals during surgeries specific to the cardiovascular system. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare operating room for cardiac surgeries, ensuring all necessary equipment is sterile and in working order
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Monitor patients' vital signs during surgery and communicate any changes to the surgical team
- Maintain accurate records of surgical procedures and patient information
- Clean and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment after each procedure
Qualifications and Skills:
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential
- Associate's degree in Surgical Technology or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiac surgeries
- BLS certification
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work under pressure and remain calm in emergency situations
