Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for operating imaging equipment to conduct diagnostic tests and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients. You will play a key role in helping medical professionals diagnose and treat various medical conditions.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform imaging procedures using gamma cameras and other nuclear medicine equipment
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients following safety protocols
- Monitor patients during imaging procedures to ensure their safety and comfort
- Analyze imaging results and prepare reports for physicians
- Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment to ensure accurate results
- Ensure compliance with all radiation safety guidelines and regulations
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree or higher in nuclear medicine technology or a related field
- Certification in nuclear medicine technology from an accredited program
- State licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures and equipment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical environment
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
