Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
2. Measure and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate.
3. Monitor patients' health status and report any changes to the nursing staff.
4. Assist with medical procedures, such as wound care, catheter insertion, and IV insertion.
5. Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
6. Maintain a clean and organized patient environment.
7. Follow all safety protocols and infection control procedures.
8. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of Alaska.
2. High school diploma or equivalent.
3. CPR certification.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work as part of a team.
6. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
7. Compassion and empathy for patients.
8. Prior experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
