Job Summary:
Location: Newport, VT 05855
Shift : M-F 8am-5pm with some weekend coverage. Some call may be scheduled, but only on an emergency basis.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team in Vermont. The LPN will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare provider
2. Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team
3. Assist with patient assessments and care plans
4. Provide wound care, IV therapy, and other nursing procedures as needed
5. Educate patients and families on healthcare issues and self-care techniques
6. Document patient care in electronic medical records system
7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Current Vermont LPN license
2. CPR certification
3. Minimum of one year of nursing experience
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
6. Knowledge of nursing principles and practices
