Job Title: Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (RN-ICU)

Job Summary: The Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) provides specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment. The RN-ICU is responsible for assessing, monitoring, and managing patients with life-threatening conditions, collaborating with healthcare team members, and providing support to patients and their families.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assessing patients' conditions and implementing appropriate treatment plans
- Monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and coordinating patient care
- Collaborating with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
- Educating patients and families on treatment options and post-discharge care
- Documenting patient progress and updating medical records
- Responding to emergencies and providing life-saving interventions as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU setting
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
