Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - ICU Permanent Position
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our ICU team on a permanent basis. The RRT-ICU will be responsible for providing respiratory care to patients in the intensive care unit, collaborating with healthcare providers to develop and implement care plans, and ensuring the highest level of care for patients with respiratory conditions.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assessing, evaluating, and treating patients with respiratory conditions in the ICU
- Administering medications, oxygen therapy, and other respiratory treatments as prescribed
- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare providers to develop and implement comprehensive care plans
- Monitoring and evaluating patient responses to treatments and making adjustments as necessary
- Educating patients and their families on respiratory conditions, treatments, and self-care strategies
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education programs
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a critical care setting, preferably in an ICU
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Strong knowledge of respiratory care principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
- Commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality patient care
